Nigerian Afro-fusion singer Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy is kicking social media to the curb.

Burna Boy posted early today, Wednesday, May 15, that he was permanently exiting social media platforms and extending their control to his management team.

He posted that the pages will henceforth be used strictly for business.

“I’m leaving all social media platforms permanently. They are all now strictly for my show dates and new music. My social media will now be in the full control of management. Love and positivity to all,” wrote Burna Boy.

The move by the On the Low singer follows a similar announcement by David Adedeji Adeleke alias Davido four weeks ago that he was going phoneless for a month in a bid to focus on his much-anticipated album.

Davido explained that he was dropping his handset so he can recalibrate his compass on things that he said needed priority.

He added that inquiries would instead be handled by his Personal Assistant (PA).

“For everybody that has been trying to reach me on my phone, or WhatsApp or whatsoever, I have decided to go phoneless for the next one month, just so I can finish my album and focus on things I need to focus on. So if you are trying to reach me, call Lati,” said Davido.
