Police have intensified search for a former Makadara constituency aspirant said to be the ringleader of a group of men behind the ugly assault of a man who leaked secret operations of the gang.
Robert Momanyi reportedly went into hiding after the police arrested five of his accomplices over the weekend.
Kilimani police boss Michael Muchiri said they were hunting for the politician and other suspects over the horrific incident.
They subjected their victim Kelvin Mango Oduor into a 24 hour torture while recording in a video which they later shared on social media.
Imperatively the same video was used by detectives to nab the suspects following sustained pressure from social media users who were not amused by the heinous act.
‘’I revealed some secrets about one of them and it’s then that things started going bad for me’’, said Oduor.
He further stated that there had been an longstanding grudge between him and his attackers but on the material date the men lured him into a party before things turned ugly.
While narrating his ordeal, Oduor said his troubles started upon reaching an apartment in Kilimani, the venue of the party when a group of people attending the party pounced on him with kicks and blows while others whipping him.
The videos (above) which have been trending on social media shows the victim kneeling down with his hands raised before a man kicks him in the neck and whips him on the head.
