Mama Dorcas Owino Nyongo died at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.
According to a family statement mama Dorcas who had been admitted at the facility for some days died on Tuesday at 1.55 pm.

Among those who have sent their messages of condolences is former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who eulogized the deceased as a woman who was dedicated to serving the nation.
“Our family will be forever grateful for the friendship we formed that has stood the test of time. Our hearts and prayers are with the entire Nyongo clan at this moment of grief. May God grant the family the fortitude and faith to cope with the loss.” Raila added.
The ODM leader said that death is a big blow to the nation.
The sentencing of Kisumu governor and his sister Dr. Risper Nyagoy who were found guilty of contempt of court in an estate row pitting him against nephews, was pushed to Thursday after they both failed to appear in court.
