Migori County Secretary Christopher Odhiambo arraigned at Kisii Law Court over abuse of office
Migori County Secretary Christopher Odhiambo has been arrainged in Kisii Law court over abuse of office before Senior Principal magistrate Nathan Shihundu
The county secretary was arrested on 30/04/2019 by EACC detectives who detained him at Kisii central police station over abuse of office contrary to section 46 as read with section 48 of the Anti corruption and economic crime Act 2003.
Odhiambo was charged that on 29/2/2016 being a public servant as a county secretary used his office to benefit Eliud Obonyo by appointing him to act as the director supply chain management a function of the Migori County public service board.
The county secretary pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Senior resident magistrate ordered for the accused to be detained at police custody.
The accused person will know his fate on 6/5/2019 whether he will be granted bond or not .
