Interior and National Cordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi has ordered county commissioners to inspect government projects and arrest contractors doing shoddy work.

Dr Matiangi said all county commissioners should as from July involve police officers during the inspection tours and identify contractors wasting public money by doing sub-standard work.
Speaking in Nyamira on Friday, Matiang’i said President Uhuru Kenyatta was keen to realise the Big Four Agenda.
“In the next financial year we have more than Sh400 billion that will go into a number of Government projects. We have resolved to change the way we conduct government business, the time for lazy contractors is long gone.”
