Kipchoge was invited to attend the heroes fete after making history in Vienna, Austria by becoming the first person to run a marathon under two hours.
The marathoner was flown by Kenya Wildlife Service on Saturday, October 19, morning, in readiness for the celebrations.
Kipchoge was invited alongside women marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei who won the Chicago marathon.
Kosgei completed the 42km race in 2:14:02, breaking the 2:15:25 record that was set by Paula Radcliffe, 16 years ago.
Her victory came barely a day after Kipchoge smashed the INEOS 1:59 challenge in Vienna.
The two who quietly jetted back in the country earlier in the week after epic tasks abroad are set to be honoured during the national fete reserved to remember and celebrate heroes.
