Tanzanian artiste Rehema Chalamila alias Ray C is in mourning after suffering a miscarriage. It’s not clear how far along she was on her pregnancy journey.

Taking to social media Ray C wrote an emotional caption asking what one is supposed to do to avoid a miscarriage. She later deleted the post.

Ray C’s past few years have been rough as she battled with drug addiction to the extent of being put into a rehabilitation centre.

She had in a touching post thanked former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete for holding her hand adding that he is the dad she never had.

Her miscarriage comes a year after she officially introduced her mzungu boyfriend to the public as she took to social media with photos while chilling with her man.

The talented singer had travelled to the United Kingdom for a show alongside fellow Tanzanian musicians Rosa Ree, Aslay, Mheshimiwa Temba and Ben Pol but she decided to extend her stay in the UK to be with her man.
